# GR Widget — Full Product Reference

> GR Widget (https://grwidget.com) is a Google Reviews Widget and Google Reviews embed service: a SaaS that lets any website display its live Google Business Profile rating and reviews with a two-line script. Operated by EXTHUS LTD, a UK company (Companies House no. 17253986, registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF). GR Widget is not affiliated with Google.

## What GR Widget does

Google does not provide an official widget for embedding Google reviews on a website. GR Widget fills that gap. Customers connect their business by searching for it (GR Widget stores the Google Place ID), customize a widget in a visual builder, and paste a two-line embed on their site:

Reviews, star ratings, reviewer names, and (on supported plans) reviewer photos then render on the customer's site and stay in sync automatically — monthly on Free, bi-weekly on Site, daily on Business and Agency. No Google API key, Google Cloud billing, or Google login is needed by the customer; GR Widget handles Google data access on its own servers. Views are unlimited on every plan.

The hosted and WordPress builders let you preview paid layouts and styling before you publish. Publishing a paid feature requires that plan, or a 7-day free trial ($0 today).

1. Rating badges — Rating Badge, Inline badge, Compact badge. Compact star-rating badges for navbars, footers, and beside calls to action.
2. Review feeds — List feed, Slider feed (previous/next + dots), Grid feed, Masonry feed, Carousel feed (hero summary plus a horizontal multi-card track). Full review text for landing pages.
3. Floating stickers — Classic sticker, Tag sticker, Bold sticker, Ribbon sticker, Pill sticker. Small floating review badges pinned to page corners, with an optional review panel.

Free web accounts include 10 layouts: Rating Badge, Inline badge, Compact badge, Review request, Reviews button, List feed, Slider feed, Grid feed, Classic sticker, Tag sticker. ## WordPress plugin

Official plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/gr-widget (current stable 1.1.2). Shortcode `[grwi_widget id="your-key"]` or the GR Widget Gutenberg block. No Google API keys. Reviews are not stored in the WordPress database.

- Unlinked (no GRWidget.com account): 1 widget, 5 layouts (Rating Badge, Review request, List feed, Slider feed, Classic sticker), up to 5 reviews, monthly sync. WordPress embeds are branding-free.
- Linked free GRWidget.com account: 3 widgets, 10 layouts, up to 10 reviews, hosted builder access. Still branding-free on WordPress.

## SEO / structured data feature

Business and Agency include Product JSON-LD (schema.org) in the embed, describing the business's aggregate rating and individual reviews so search engines can read them. Important: Google alone decides whether star ratings appear in search results; eligibility varies and is never guaranteed — GR Widget makes no promise of stars.

## Platform compatibility

Works anywhere HTML can be pasted: WordPress (plugin, shortcode, or Custom HTML), Shopify (theme.liquid or Custom Liquid sections), Wix (custom embed code on paid Wix plans), Squarespace (code injection), Webflow (embed element), Drupal, and hand-coded sites. ## Privacy & compliance

- The embed does not load advertising trackers or fingerprint visitors; only anonymous widget loads are counted server-side for abuse prevention. GDPR-friendly.
- Domain locking restricts an embed key to authorized domains.
- Reviews are publicly available Google review data displayed with attribution; review content remains the property of their authors.
