The GR Widget partner programme

Build it for your clients.Let them own it.

Keep working together. Build the review display as part of your next website project. When the setup is ready, invite your client to take ownership and pay GR Widget directly. With their permission, you can remain a manager to keep it up to date.

For web designers, developers and consultants

Why web professionals choose
client-owned billing.

You build something good for your client. They own it, they pay for it, and you are not stuck in the middle of a subscription.

Cleaner ownership

Clients have their own account and payment history, not a seat on an agency’s private subscription.

Less admin

You don’t need to collect and forward GR Widget subscription fees.

A professional handover

Clear owner and manager roles, and a documented transition instead of a shared password.

Keep your service revenue

You decide what to charge for site build, design, and ongoing support. That fee is yours, not GR Widget’s.

How handover works

From your build
to their account.

Apply once, then we arrange each handover with you and your client. There is no self-serve “transfer this widget” button, so every handover is set up properly, with no shared passwords.

  1. 1

    Build

Choose the client’s authorised business listing, design, and website placement.

  2. 2

    Invite

Send a secure handover invitation to the client’s verified email. No shared passwords. The invitation is time-limited, and no subscription is moved in the background.

  3. 3

    Client accepts

They decide whether to claim ownership and select billing. No automatic trial or charge. They pay GR Widget from their own account, with Credit/Debit Card or PayPal, the same way any customer does.

  4. 4

    Stay involved if invited

Manage widget settings with explicit permissions. The client can revoke access. You never see their card, and you cannot cancel or change their subscription.

  5. 5

    Earn on real paying customers

Approved partner commissions begin only when an eligible client subscription pays successfully, under formal partner terms. Terms are supplied to approved participants. Your own design or care fee is billed by you, not by GR Widget.

Who does what

Clear roles.
No back doors.

The client is the owner. You are a manager only if they invite you, and a manager never gets billing or owner permissions.

An Agency subscription is not reused as the client’s plan, and a partner’s existing PayPal subscription is not moved onto the client.

Who pays GR Widget?

Agency or Partner?

Agency: your business pays one Agency subscription to operate many client websites. Partner: each client pays GR Widget directly and owns their account. Affiliate: you only recommend the product, with no management access.

Agency

Your business pays one Agency subscription.

  • Operate many client websites from one account, up to 20 websites and 10 seats.
  • Invite teammates and clients into your workspace. They are not the billing owner.
  • Choose this when central billing and workspaces suit you.
This page

Partner

Each client pays GR Widget and owns their account.

  • The client owns the account and the PayPal billing agreement.
  • You can stay as a manager only if they allow it. They can revoke access.
  • Your design, setup, or maintenance fee stays between you and the client.

Affiliate

You only recommend the product.

  • No management access to the customer’s widgets or billing.
  • The reader owns the account and pays GR Widget directly.
  • Commission terms are supplied to approved participants. This page is not those terms.
PARTNER FAQS

Ownership, access and billing

Who pays, who owns the account, and what a manager can and cannot do.

Ask us a question
Must I have an Agency subscription to become a partner?

No. Agency is for firms that want one central bill and seats inside their own account. Partnership is for work the client will own and pay for. Read the Agency page if the central bill is what you want.

Who pays?

The client pays GR Widget in their own account after explicit acceptance and plan selection, with Credit/Debit Card or PayPal. The partner charges its own service fee separately.

Can clients remove partner access?

Yes. Manager access is optional. When they remove you, you lose that account. You do not keep a back door to their widgets or their payment method. Revocation is built in, not an optional extra.

Can I change clients’ cards or cancel their subscription?

No. A manager role must not have billing or owner permissions. Card details, PayPal billing changes, cancellation, and plan changes stay with the client.

What if a client declines the invite?

No transfer, automatic subscription, billing, or reward. They can ignore the invitation. You keep whatever you built in your own account.

What if I want one consolidated invoice for all customers?

Choose the Agency plan.

Does GR Widget hand over an existing PayPal subscription?

No. We will not move a PayPal billing agreement from your account to theirs. Any eligible client billing agreement must be newly authorised by the paying client.

Is automatic ownership transfer live?

Not as a self-serve button. Once you are approved, we arrange each handover with you and your client, so ownership and billing move over properly.
